It was a delight to capture Ashley and Shah’s Pakistani wedding in Waldorf Astoria. At this classy venue, the couple could blend a modern touch into a traditional ceremony in the most elegant way. The traditional Barat was extraordinary – Shah had a grand entrance as he rode a horse adorned in shimmering red and gold caparison. It was quite an entrance with live music and lots of dancing. 

Baraat is a part of the groom’s cultural heritage, where it is customary for him to wear a traditional outfit and sit on a ceremonial horse while his guests lead the way dancing. It usually starts at the entrance of the building or venue, up to the main banquet hall.
