FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS ABOUT YOUR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

 

Q: HOW CAN YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE?
A: Liliya and I bring a Fine Art approach to wedding photography, thinking of each wedding as the opportunity to create custom works of art with the two of you, and the way you feel about each other, in the center of it. We photograph weddings in photojournalist and modern style, capturing the candid and unexpected moments while also providing gentle direction during portrait times, giving couples a collection of images that truly encompass the raw emotion of a wedding day, you can see great examples here. We define our work as clean, elegant, and timeless. Our photography style is reflective of our own personal style where we strive to blend the old with the new to create something fresh yet memorable. 

 

Q: WHAT SETS YOU APART FROM OTHER PHOTOGRAPHERS? 
A: As a husband and wife wedding photographers we aim to tell a timeless, beautiful story with photos that not only take you back in time but also transport you to an even better, more beautiful version of it. We have more than 10 years of professional experience with photography and more than 400 captured weddings. As a wedding photography duo here in Las Vegas, Nevada we have a great variety of photos when we photograph weddings. 

 

Q: WE ARE SHY AND WE THINK WE ARE NOT PHOTOGENIC. THE COUPLES ON YOUR PHOTOS LOOK SO COMFORTABLE AND NATURAL, HOW DO YOU DO THAT?
A: We think that everyone is photogenic. We always take the time to get to know our couples and especially their vision for the big day. This gives us inspiration and a great understanding of what they want to see in their wedding photos. With our experience in posing and attention to detail, we provide gentle direction during portrait times. In addition, Liliya is always there to make sure that they feel comfortable and everything is set in place for the perfect photo. 

 

Q: DO YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE SHOOTING IN VARIOUS LIGHTING SITUATION?
A: Yes, we are very comfortable working in all types of lighting conditions.

 

Q: DO YOU DO BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOS?
A: We take all the photos in color. Then we select the best photos and we do Black and White equivalent.

 

Q: WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE, DO YOU HAVE BACK-UP, AND HOW CAN WE MAKE SURE THAT OUR PHOTOS WILL BE SAFE?
A: We use top of the line photography equipment to bring out the best of every image we take. We use Sony mirrorless cameras and Sigma Art prime lenses with back-up bodies and lenses. We record all the weddings on two SD cards just to be on the safe side. We store your wedding photos on NAS device with four hard drives, as well as in a private online gallery.

 

Q: DO YOU HAVE ANY AWARDS?
A: We are extremely happy to announce that we won the “WeddingWire 2019 Couple’s Choice Award“, “TheKnot Best of Weddings 2019” and 5 awards “WedAward” international wedding awards, being part of FearLess Photographers, published in different blogs – “How They Asked“, “Zion Brides“, “Brides“, and rated in the top 10 wedding photographers in Las Vegas by WeddingRule. We are also proud members of Professional Photographers of America.

 

Q: WE WOULD LIKE TO TALK TO YOU ABOUT OUR WEDDING. HOW AND WHERE WE CAN DO THAT?
A: We can absolutely schedule a time to talk with you about your wedding. We conduct the majority of our in-person meetings in the Las Vegas area. Since we typically photograph weddings on the weekends, meeting during the week is best for us. Many of our couples have busy schedules (or are planning weddings from afar), so we also do meetings over the phone, FaceTime, or via Skype.

 

Q: WHAT IS YOUR TYPICAL WEDDING DAY SCHEDULE?
A: We want to make sure your day flows smoothly and that you have plenty of time to get amazing photos and still get to enjoy your day. We create a custom timeline for all of our couples, detailing what time you should start hair and make-up all the way to what time you should cut your cake (working alongside your wedding planner and/or venue or caterer, of course). We always ensure that we capture all the little details that you’ve spent so long planning and creating.

 

Q: DO I NEED A SHOT LIST FOR GROUP PHOTOS? 
A: As professional photographers, we have our shot list in the back of our minds but it is always a good idea to have a shot list for the specific group photos you want to have.

 

Q: DO YOU TAKE PHOTOS DURING DINNER TIME?
A: We usually don’t take photos while people are eating. Instead, we take pictures of the wedding band, the rings, and other details.

 

Q: WHAT DO YOU WEAR TO A WEDDING?
A: We dress professionally. Tell us more about your dress code and we will pick something that will match.

 

Q: WHAT DO YOUR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY PACKAGES INCLUDE?
A: Our photography packages include the following: 
– Pre-Wedding meeting
– Location and planning guidance

Q: WE ARE HAVING A DESTINATION WEDDING. DO YOU TRAVEL?
A: Yes, we do! We love destination weddings, send us more information on your travel plans, and we will create a custom wedding package to suit your needs.

 

Q: DO YOU DO ENGAGEMENT/PROPOSAL SESSIONS? 
A: We absolutely love engagement sessions, please contact us for our availability. Preferably we book engagement sessions during weekdays, the sessions are generally shot at 3 p.m. during winter months and 5 p.m. in the summer months. Q: DO YOU PROVIDE PARTIAL DAY COVERAGE?
A: We typically don’t provide partial day coverage on weekends. On weekends, we only accept clients that require at least 8 hours of coverage. We created 4 hours package available Monday-Thursday.

 

Q: DO YOU WORK WITH AN ASSISTANT?
A: I am so proud to work together with my wife. She is a second vantage point for many of the key moments of the day while providing assistance with lighting and managing logistics of the key parts of the event. Typically Albert takes the lead while Liliya provides a secondary/journalistic perspective. Here are some behind the scenes photos of two of us at a wedding day.

 

 

Q: DO WE NEED A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER?
A: We suggest a second photographer for long weddings, as well as weddings where there are more than 50 guests. We created a great post about having two photographers on your wedding day. Liliya is the second photographer and this helps us capture weddings from two different perspectives, giving our clients even better memories and 40% more photos.

 

Q: HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK YOU FOR MY WEDDING?
A: As soon as you have your date! We typically schedule dates at least a year in advance but definitely contact us even if you are planning your wedding within a shorter time frame as we may have your date available.

 

Q: HOW DO WE RESERVE OUR WEDDING DATE, DO YOU HOLD DATES, AND DO YOU PROVIDE A CONTRACT?
A: A retainer of 30% is required for booking, the second payment of 30% is required 60 days prior to the wedding date and the remaining balance of 40% to be due on the wedding date. Unfortunately, we do not hold dates without a deposit. We accept bookings on a first-come, first-served basis. We provide a contract with the booking deposit. Our process is explained here.

 

Q: IS THE DEPOSIT REFUNDABLE?
A: The deposit is non-refundable. The deposit guarantees that we will hold the date exclusively for you. Once you have signed the contract, we turn down all other requests for that date.

 

Q: HOW CAN WE PAY?
A: We accept payments through Square. It is secure and very easy to use. Within Square, you can pay with Credit Card, Debit Card, and other payment methods. We also accept cash.

 

Q: OUR VENUE REQUIRES LIMITED LIABILITY INSURANCE FOR $1,000,000.00 COVERAGE. CAN YOU PROVIDE AN INSURANCE CERTIFICATE?
A: We are a fully licensed and insured business and we can provide proof of Business General Liability Insurance for venues that require it.

 

Q: DO YOU EDIT ALL OF OUR WEDDING IMAGES?
A: All of the images are edited via Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. 

 

Q: HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE BEFORE WE RECEIVE OUR WEDDING PHOTOS?
A: Online galleries are posted within 4 weeks after your wedding date.

 

Q: HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL WE RECEIVE?
A: The final number of photos taken depends on many things such as the number of guests, type of event, hours of coverage, a second photographer, different locations, and many more. If you have questions about image quantity, we’d love to hear more about your plans and provide you with a more detailed explanation and estimate.

 

Q: WHAT IS an ONLINE GALLERY?
A: The online gallery is a private, password-protected page on our website where all of your wedding photos will be stored online. You and your family and friends can view and download photos from there.

 

Q: DO YOU RETAIN THE COPYRIGHT OF THE PHOTOS?
A: Yes, as your professional photographers we will retain the copyright of all your wedding images. However, we always provide an official copyright release for you allowing unlimited personal use and printing of your wedding photos.
