Our couple, Nadia and Aric, live in Last Vegas. Lovely Nadia works in the sales department in Dior, and the handsome Aric was formerly a firefighter. Burning from the love they feel for each other, the couple enjoys a strong and passionate bond! They wanted to find the ideal spot for their engagement photo session, and we were pleased to help. We exhibited some of our previous work and recommended some of our favorite spots from past photoshoots. After discussing a few of the gorgeous places we suggested, they fell in love with the idea of having their engagement photos at Kestrel Park in California. And we’re not surprised, it’s a wonderful location to capture timeless photos! Nadia and Aric also decided on the second part of their Kestrel Park engagement session – they picked Downtown Los Angeles! The couple plans on getting married in the exquisite JW Marriott Hotel in Las Vegas, later this year.

Kestrel Park Engagement Session – Details & Insights

This engagement session took place at Kestrel Park in Santa Ynez Valley, just outside Santa Barbara, California, a private estate known for its European-inspired architecture, expansive gardens, and rolling countryside. Surrounded by hills and vineyard landscapes, the property offers a setting that feels both cinematic and timeless.

Kestrel Park is defined by its English countryside aesthetic, featuring a 19th-century-style country house, manicured gardens, tree-lined pathways, and architectural elements that create a refined and immersive environment.

From the iconic Sycamore Allée to the barn and château-like structures, the estate offers a variety of visually distinct spaces while maintaining a cohesive and elevated atmosphere.

What makes a Kestrel Park engagement session especially unique is the balance between structure and nature. The architectural elements provide a strong, editorial foundation, while the surrounding fields, oak trees, and open landscapes introduce a softer, more organic dimension. This combination allows the imagery to feel both polished and natural.

This session unfolded across the estate, moving between gardens, pathways, and open landscapes. As the day progressed, the golden hour light across the hills created a more cinematic and expressive atmosphere, allowing the gallery to feel layered and immersive.

Our approach to photographing this Kestrel Park engagement session focused on creating clean, crisp imagery that feels natural and alive, while remaining highly intentional with composition, light, and background. We guide couples in a way that feels effortless and comfortable, avoiding anything stiff or overly posed. The gallery reflects a blend of candid, documentary-style moments with guided posing, resulting in imagery that feels both refined and immersive.
